Bashorun Askia Foundation is a privately owned Not for Profit Organization that was established in 2018 with the sole aim of providing succor and hope for indigent persons. The welfare of indigent persons is a minefield of impossible decisions. The longer it takes for us to ameliorate their plight, the greater their risks. The conundrum lies on who harms the indigent; the government, the populace or their folks? What processes are needed to get them back on their feet?
Our job pivots mainly on providing support for the downtrodden and giving them the life that they require to survive at no cost from them. Bashorun Askia Foundation has over time provided aid to a lot of people in Nigeria. Depending on the resources at our disposal, we hope to reach out to as much indigent persons as possible.
OUR VISION
Imagine a world afflicted by a plaque. A plaque that would make the indigent citizens of Nigeria vulnerable to catastrophic effects like serious intractable psychotic disorders. How would the Nigerian community respond?
At present, the public response to the welfare of the destitute is fragmented, poorly informed and haltingly effective. ; The consequences of which has left our community littered with indigent persons in need of care.
Statistically speaking, The United Nations in its 2006 report opines that 70.8% of Nigerians live below a dollar daily. Welfare in Nigeria currently needs to be deciphered, investigated and prioritized.
Charity is a whole community of issues and can never be the exclusive preserve of the government. The incapacitated and the downtrodden are not so by choice; they are either by fate or by accident.
It is on this premise that Bashorun Askia Foundation was established to lend a helping hand and to provide hope for the indigent.
